One of our responsibilities is to inspect the pads of the 16 missionaries in our district every 6 weeks. They all passed inspection, especially Sister Tailier and Sister Talbot.

"Aunty Mary's" Funeral

Here are pictures from the second funeral we attended our first week in Hilo. Instead of "Brother" and "Sister" older people are called "Aunty" and "Uncle." The funerals are actually glorified luaus with live music and elaborate smorgasbords. They serve food before the services and after. Home Away From Home

May 13, 2018 Our first day and first Sunday in Hilo; also Mother's Day. Here is a picture of our front yard and house. I'm wearing the fragrant plumeria lay given to me by Elder and Sister Hendrickson (Martha and Ivan) upon arriving.

Missionary Training Center Experience

We completed five days of training at the Mission Training Center in Provo, Utah.
